Job Description:
Job Title: Head of Ecommerce (Global D2C & Distributor Sites)
Location: Bristol
Working Style: Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in Bristol Office)
Who we are:
Pure Electric is on a mission to build the world’s most desirable electric scooters. We’re rethinking urban transport - fast, efficient, and built for the future. We’re growing fast, testing, learning, and scaling globally.
Role overview:
We're looking for a commercially minded person to take full ownership of our UK D2C site alongside the brand marketing team — including the outlet — and support distributor growth across global D2C platforms. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for achieving budget and forecasting sell through rate, achieving your KPIS, trading the site, delivering campaigns, and constantly testing and learning to drive performance.
You'll be responsible for the full ecommerce funnel — from site experience and CRM to paid media, SEO, stock alignment, and conversion — with full P&L accountability. You’ll need a strong understanding of performance marketing, trading levers, and what it takes to grow a site day in, day out.
We’re a lean team with expertise in Shopify and Marketplaces, so you’ll be rolling up your sleeves — implementing ideas fast, collaborating cross-functionally, and turning insight into action to hit our revenue, margin, and growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Site & Outlet Trading: Own daily trading across our UK D2C site and outlet, with full responsibility for performance targets (revenue, margin, conversion) and the ecommerce P&L. Support distributor partners in optimising their local D2C sites and hitting shared growth goals.
* Customer & Conversion Growth: Drive traffic and sales through a mix of CRM, SEO, paid media (Google, Meta, Shopping), and affiliates. Build and execute strategies that move the needle across the full funnel — from acquisition to repeat purchase and LTV.
* Site Performance & Experience: Lead improvements on our Shopify site — managing A/B testing, feature rollouts, and CRO initiatives to keep the site fast, stable, and high converting.
* Stock & Inventory Alignment: Work closely with supply chain to plan availability, manage stock health, and ensure the outlet clears excess in a commercially smart way.
* Data & Analytics: Own KPI tracking and reporting across all ecommerce activity. Use insights to inform decisions, improve performance, and identify new opportunities.
* Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Ops, Product, and regional teams to align plans and get things done. While team size is small, influence and pace are big.
Qualifications & Skills
* 5+ years of ecommerce experience with direct ownership of P&L and multi-channel performance — ideally within a fast-paced start-up, scale-up, or small business.
* Experience managing global websites, distributor relationships, and cross-border ecommerce challenges is a bonus.
* Strong hands-on experience with Shopify (ideally Shopify Plus) — you’ve run a site, launched features, and fixed problems yourself.
* Solid working knowledge of performance marketing — including Google Ads, Shopping, Meta, and affiliate networks.
* Experience planning and delivering CRM campaigns, ideally with Klaviyo or similar, to drive retention and LTV.
* Comfortable using data to make decisions — you can build a forecast, manage stock requirements, track KPIs, and spot what’s not working fast.
* Highly executional — thrives in lean teams where you're both the thinker and the doer.
* Strong commercial mindset — focused on margin, growth, and customer experience.
