Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Safety Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training programmes focused on health and safety regulations, practices, and procedures. This role is crucial in ensuring that participants are equipped with the necessary skills to maintain a safe working environment. The instructor will also be involved in developing training materials and assessing the effectiveness of the training provided.
Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee all Health & Safety compliance activities across the company and report to senior management
* Conduct risk assessments and sit audits, with a strong focus on working at height and ensuring that standards are upheld
* Develop and maintain H&S policies, procedures and training plans
* Collaborate with operational teams and senior management on safety improvement initiatives
* Provide H&S input into RAMS and tender documentation
* Monitor and report on safety performance and near-miss incidents
* Liaise with clients and third parties regarding compliance an accreditation
Experience
* Proven experience as a Health and Safety Lead or similar role is highly desirable. NEBOSH General Certificate (or higher) - Essential
* Excellent report writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
* Strong experience in Facilities Management or related field
* Excellent knowledge of work at height regulations and safety practices
* Confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office
* Strong understanding of gutter maintenance or building service industry - desirable
* a practical, hands-on mindset and a proactive approach to problem solving
* Full UK driving licence - required

Pay: £42,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
