Most importantly, youâll get the guidance and training needed to become a confident, fully qualified Maintenance Electrician.\nThis role is perfect for someone who enjoys practical work, problem-solving, and wants to earn while they learn. As an Apprentice Maintenance Electrician, youâll gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become a key part of our maintenance team. Youâll learn how to:\nâ¢\tWork safely and effectively with qualified electricians on a variety of electrical maintenance tasks.\nâ¢\tCarry out electrical inspections and testing of low voltage installations across the site.\nâ¢\tPerform plant repairs, upgrades, and improvementsâkeeping equipment running efficiently.\nâ¢\tSupport breakdown response and learn how to troubleshoot and fix faults quickly.\nâ¢\tAssist our Controls Engineer with inspections, calibrations, and understanding key control systemsâincluding safety circuits.\nâ¢\tLog maintenance tasks and updates using our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).\nâ¢\tLearn how a modern manufacturing site operates and understand how your role fits into the bigger picture.\nâ¢\tFollow all health and safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.\nâ¢\tBuild strong working relationships with your team and develop professional communication skills.\n Entry requirements:\n\nTwo Highers at Grade C or above in Mathematics (not Application of Mathematics) and Physics or Technology subject.\nA NC in an engineering discipline at Level 6 accompanied with a good academic reference recommending articulation to a higher level.\nIndustrial experience and/or other qualifications will also be considered.\nFor a place on the course, you will be required to attend an interview.\n\nApplicants whose first language is not English should have a Level 6 or equivalent ESOL qualification to be considered for this course.\n\nWeâre looking for someone whoâs practical, motivated, and excited to learn on the job.
