Trainee Recruitment Consultant
Salary: £27,500 – £29,500 + uncapped bonus
Location: Southampton with hybrid working and flexitime

The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in recruitment, with a clearly defined pathway into a Consultant role.
You will initially join as a Talent Manager, focusing on recruitment delivery and supporting existing clients. As you gain confidence, you'll be given increasing autonomy to manage recruitment processes end-to-end. With ongoing internal and external training, the role will naturally progress into a Consultant position, where you will take full ownership of roles and client relationships.
Key responsibilities:
Supporting and managing recruitment delivery for existing clients
Learning to run recruitment processes from role briefing through to placement
Proactively sourcing candidates via job boards, LinkedIn Recruiter, social media and internal databases
Conducting screening calls and video interviews to assess suitability and motivation
Writing and posting accurate, engaging job adverts
Coordinating interviews and managing candidate and consultant diaries
Maintaining accurate CRM records, compliance documentation and onboarding information
Conducting market mapping and candidate research
Ensuring a consistently high-quality experience for candidates and clients
Experience and Qualifications:
Previous experience in an office-based, delivery, coordination or sales-focused role
Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with candidates
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously
Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365; CRM or ATS experience is beneficial
Experience sourcing or researching candidates using professional platforms
Strong attention to detail, particularly around compliance and data accuracy
A motivated individual who is keen to learn, develop and progress into a Consultant role
