Maintenance Manager
Location: Derbyshire (5-days a week onsite)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum plus car allowance.

As Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the coordination, development and performance of a multi-skilled maintenance team responsible for the electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and facility-related systems across the site. You will champion preventative maintenance, deliver rapid responses to breakdowns, and ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, legal and quality standards.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is passionate about engineering excellence, continuous improvement and developing people.
About You:
Experience
* Strong background in electrical/mechanical engineering, maintenance and repair within an industrial, manufacturing or processing environment.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
* Prior experience working in a top tier COMAH environment is essential
* Familiarity with COMAH, IPPC, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and similar management systems.
* Experience using CMMS platforms and delivering both reactive and preventative maintenance programmes.
* Proven ability to work with contractors, vendors and cross-functional teams professionally and constructively.
Qualifications
* GCSEs (Maths & English).
* City & Guilds or equivalent apprenticeship in maintenance, electrical or mechanical engineering; or time-served apprenticeship.
* Formal management training (essential).
* NEBOSH certification (preferred).
* IEng or equivalent professional standard (desirable).
Skills & Competencies
* Excellent fault-finding abilities across electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
* Strong understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance methodologies.
* Able to interpret and develop technical documentation and reports.
* High level of health and safety knowledge with the ability to produce relevant documentation.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to coach and motivate a team.
* Tenacious, adaptable and a true team player.
