Do you have the vision, drive, and passion to lead a high-performing Business and IT department? Are you an experience teacher able to offer either or both subjects looking for the next step in your career?
Tradewind are working in partnership with a secondary school in Cheshunt, searching for a charismatic, energetic and engaging Head of Business Studies and IT to lead and inspire their department!
This is more than just a Teaching role - it's a leadership role in a school that believes in the value education provides in shaping lives beyond the classroom and influencing the school community and wider ethos!
Role:
* Lead and manage a dedicated Business and IT department delivering engaging lessons across KS3-KS5
* Inspire students with a positive and upbeat attitude to learning and development
* Organise, develop and manage the extra-curricular sporting schedule
* Develop both curriculum's to sustain and increase participation and performance
* Collaborate with senior leaders to promote physical well-being as part of the wider school ethos
* Be a positive sporting role model to staff and students alike
What makes a great Head of Business and IT
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a background in Business OR IT / Computer Science / ICT
* Previous experience in a leadership role or an ambitious teacher ready to step into Head of Department role
* A commitment to high performance, inclusivity, and sporting values
* Outstanding organisational, leadership and communication skills
* A track record of inspiring young people through sport and physical activity
