The Academic Assistant supports academic administration for the Department's undergraduate and full time taught students, and the graduate research degree., The primary role of the Administrative Assistant is to provide support for the delivery of teaching and assessment for undergraduates for the first three months, and support to the graduate office for the remaining three months. This will including onboarding visiting students and, giving guidance to students and academics on department policy and University regulations, and assisting with the administration of student issues.
The Department currently hosts three undergraduate degrees, one full time masters degree (MSc in Advanced Computer Science), and a DPhil in Computer Science. The undergraduate degrees combined have an intake of around 120 per year, the MSc an intake of around 70 students, and the DPhil around 50 students.
We are seeking applicants with strong administrative skills, preferably in higher education or a similar field, who have excellent organisational skills, good communication skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
