Job Title: Process Improvement Technician
Location: Cupar, Scotland
Contract type and shift: Permanent, Monday to Friday

If so, we want you to join our team at ABN Cupar as a Process Improvement Technician.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and product quality. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement principles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review current feed milling processes to identify areas for improvement.
* Develop and implement process optimisation strategies to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
* Conduct time and motion studies to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
* Deliver continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
* Monitor and report on the progress of improvement initiatives, ensuring goals and priorities are met.
* Collect, analyse, and interpret process data to make informed decisions.
* Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of process improvements.
* Use statistical tools to analyse data and identify trends or patterns.
* Provide technical support to operations teams to resolve process-related issues.
* Develop and implement troubleshooting procedures to minimise downtime and ensure consistent product quality.
* Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
* Promote a culture of safety and quality through training and continuous improvement efforts.
* Collaborate closely with engineering, production, quality, and distribution teams to ensure successful project completion.
About you:
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process engineering, continuous improvement, or a related role in the feed milling industry or similar manufacturing environment.
* Proven experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
* Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (Desirable)
* Lean Manufacturing certification (Desirable)
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (Desirable)
