Health Real Estate Associate | (NQ-3 PQE) | national firm | Leeds
A leading national law firm is looking to appoint an Associate to its highly regarded Health Real Estate team in Leeds
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting transactional real estate work for a broad range of healthcare clients, including primary care providers and NHS bodies. From an early stage, you will be trusted with responsibility, encouraged to build client relationships, and supported by a collaborative and well-resourced team.
The Team
The Health Real Estate team is recognised nationally for its depth of expertise, acting for NHS Trusts, ICBs, primary care networks, and private healthcare organisations. The team is regularly involved in innovative, strategic projects across the healthcare sector and works closely with clients at both a local and national level.
Key Responsibilities
· Advising on mergers and acquisitions of primary care practices
· Sale and purchase of healthcare business premises
· Negotiating leases and advising on landlord & tenant matters, including sale and leaseback transactions
· Title investigation and reporting
· Supporting NHS Trusts with property portfolio management
· Drafting deeds of easement, licences, and tenancies at will
· Advising on NHS funding and regulatory requirements relating to primary care premises
· Supporting wider commercial arrangements and joint ventures
· Building and maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business development
About You
· Qualified solicitor (NQ-3 PQE)
· Solid grounding in commercial property law (healthcare experience welcome but not essential)
· Strong landlord and tenant experience
· Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail
· Able to manage a varied caseload and prioritise effectively
· Collaborative, proactive, and commercially aware
· Keen to develop client relationships and grow within a specialist practice
