Inclusive Learning Support Assistant – Worthing
£400+ per week | Full-time | Term-time only

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced support staff to join a specialist school supporting young people with complex learning needs.
Located in Worthing, this school provides a calm, structured, and supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.
All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and present with a range of needs, including:
* Moderate to profound learning difficulties
* Autism and associated communication needs
* Speech, language and communication difficulties
* Social, emotional and behavioural needs (SEMH)
* Sensory needs (hearing and visual impairments)
* Physical disabilities
* Specific learning difficulties
The school uses a personalised, therapeutic approach to learning, with small class sizes and strong pastoral support to help every pupil thrive.
About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
* Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
* Support small group learning and targeted interventions
* Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and staying engaged
* Promote independence, communication, and emotional regulation
* Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and therapists
* Help create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
This role offers excellent experience for those considering careers in teaching, psychology, or specialist education.
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
* Have experience supporting children or young people (education, care, youth work, or similar)
* Are confident working with pupils with additional needs or challenging behaviour (desirable)
* Can build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
* Have a calm, consistent, and supportive approach
* Are positive, patient, and resilient

Previous experience in schools is not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
