Looking for a Family Therapist role where you have the support and development from over 50 Qualified Psychologists and Psychological Therapists?
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Family Therapist to join St Andrews Healthcare in Northampton on a full-time or part-time permanent basis to work across our CAMHS Service. The role may also be suitable for multisystemic family therapists (MST).
Previous experience in mental health settings, particularly inpatient services, is advantageous but not essential.
Our CAMHS is a Trauma-Informed Care Service, ensuring that everything we do is driven by an understanding of how trauma affects the whole person—physically, mentally, and socially. We provide low secure Tier 4 CAMHS inpatient services, aiming to enable young people to live well and reach their full potential in the least restrictive environment possible.
Main duties of the job
Duties of the role:
1. Provide family therapy assessment and treatment services
2. Arrange and attend family therapy meetings and workshops
3. Work effectively with other agencies including social services, primary care, and the voluntary sector
4. Contribute to the development of the multidisciplinary team
5. Ensure all duties are carried out in line with policies and statutory requirements
6. Engage in clinical governance and regular audits of the service
7. Maintain accurate records of clinical activity and stay updated with current research
More about you:
* Masters degree qualified in Family Therapy
* AFT and UKCP registered or equivalent
* Experienced in working with complex family dynamics and high levels of risk
* Skilled in clinical governance, auditing, and clinical supervision
* Passionate about working with individuals with complex mental health needs
* Dynamic, enthusiastic, compassionate, professional, and committed to high standards
