The Role
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our Acute Services team as Deputy Director of Access and Performance. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of patient care delivery, leading on the development and implementation of plans to ensure we meet and exceed national Access and Waiting Times targets.
Working closely with the Director of Access and Performance, you will provide strategic leadership to ensure patient safety, quality of care, and service efficiency are at the heart of all operational activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver key initiatives and ensure the achievement of National Access targets
2. Build effective governance structures and monitoring systems to oversee performance, providing assurance to stakeholders.
3. Deputise for the Director as the key liaison with the Scottish Government’s National Access Team, representing NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde in national performance discussions.
4. Provide leadership across a complex and challenging landscape, working closely with Acute Directors and multidisciplinary teams to optimise service performance and patient outcomes.
