We are recruiting an experienced Assistant Accountant for a UK market-leading manufacturing company based in Rotherham offering:

The job:
The purpose of the role is to provide support to the finance department across the group and assist with month-end reporting.
Reporting to the Finance Director, duties will include, but not limited to:
* Accruals and prepayments.
* Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations.
* Bank reconciliations.
* Updating and maintaining the fixed asset register.
* Monthly and quarterly VAT returns.
* Other ad hoc duties as required.
The person:
* Previous experience with month-end processes is required.
* Good IT skills are essential, including advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables and Lookups etc).
* Good communication skills are essential.
* Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership are required.
