Description
Are you ready to take your horticultural or landscape maintenance experience to the next level? We are seeking a motivated and skilled Landscape Maintenance Team Leader to expand our commercial horticulture team in Christchurch. Our team works on various commercial maintenance contracts around Canterbury. Successful candidates should possess the following qualities:
* Physically fit and hardworking
* Positive attitude and strong work ethic
* Experience in horticulture or landscaping
* Full Class 1 driver’s license (Class 2 and WTR are a bonus)
* Exceptional communication skills
* Ability to read plans
* Leadership skills (manage 2-3 team members)
* Ambitious and value-driven
* Ability to seek out new opportunities and clients
* Capacity to price small variation works
* Self-motivated and proactive
Key Duties:
* Leading a team of 2-3
* Mowing, edging, general garden maintenance, weeding, pruning, hedge trimming
* Garden enhancement, ground prep, planting, mulching, staking
* Grounds maintenance tasks
* Planning support and client services
* Offering enhancement and upsell opportunities
* Managing one-off projects
* Resolving issues as the initial contact point
* Completing daily Health and Safety paperwork
* Collaborating closely with the Project Manager
