Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Are you ready to take on a dynamic and evolving role within a leading company? We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Service Systems Specialist to join our Service Division and provide vital support across all divisions for software and technical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote and actively engage in expanding our Software Care contracts to contribute to business growth.
* Plan, develop methods, and implement software/application projects, gaining knowledge of core applications used by other divisions to provide comprehensive project services.
* Train end-user customers on application usage to ensure seamless adoption.
* Configure applications tailored to meet customer requirements.
* Prepare detailed project documentation including User Requirement Specifications (URS), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), Functional Design Specifications (FDS), and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
* Apply knowledge of PLC configuration and API development where applicable.
* Provide pre- and post-sales specialist support for the Industrial Division's core applications, Form+ and FormWeigh.
* Assist service engineers with application-related and technical queries.
* Deliver product validation services to customers as needed.
* Conduct internal training sessions for Field Service Representatives (FSRs) and engineers.
Additional Information:
Some travel throughout the UK and occasional overnight stays are required.
What You Need to Succeed
* Strong ability to work autonomously with a willingness to learn and implement advanced knowledge.
* Good educational background (minimum GCSE or equivalent).
* Proficient in Windows operating systems and Ethernet networking.
* Knowledge of PLC ladder logic and API development is advantageous.
* Experience network-based applications is a plus.
* Confident, professional, and customer-facing with a positive attitude and the ability to represent Mettler Toledo effectively.
