About Us
Atlantic Aviation Group (AAG Defence Services) is a MAA Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) based in RAF Brize Norton, UK. We partner with Airbus Aerospace & Defence to provide dedicated MRO services, including heavy and line maintenance, for the Royal Air Force’s A400M Atlas fleet. Our team of over 100 engineers and management operate from a 24,000m² facility designed for optimal aircraft maintenance. AAG Defence Services is a subsidiary of Atlantic Aviation Group.
Job Purpose
Ensure AMOS Task Cards accurately reflect the A400M OMP maintenance requirements, are compliant with MAA RA’s and AAGDS procedures, and support complex maintenance activities. Provide expertise to maintain job card standards across all production areas.
Key Responsibilities
* Become expert in aircraft AMOS job card creation and workflows.
* Maintain knowledge of production capabilities and certification standards.
* Interpret technical documentation and transfer information onto AMOS job cards.
* Create, update, and revise AMOS job card templates according to standards.
* Ensure compliance with MAA RA Part 145 in planning and documentation.
* Improve the quality and standardization of job cards.
* Support development of manuals and procedures.
* Identify critical tasks and component changes.
* Evaluate revisions and define access and scope for maintenance data.
* Liaise with quality for certification requirements.
* Collaborate with planning engineers to enhance maintenance processes.
* Train staff on job card standards as needed.
* Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Deputize for Planning Engineers when required.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Engineering Planning Manager.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Degree/Diploma or relevant experience in a related field.
* Technical apprenticeship or training.
* Experience in document or work instruction writing is advantageous.
* Customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills.
* Expertise in MS Office, especially Excel.
* AMOS key user level.
* Ability to work independently and in teams under tight schedules.
* Attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
* Strong organizational skills and commitment to deadlines.
* Knowledge of aviation safety, aircraft maintenance, and relevant regulations.
* Minimum 3 years in a technical support role.
* Understanding of maintenance production processes.
* Experience with AMOS or similar systems is desirable.
