Job Overview
The role is a mobile mechanic who works directly on customer driveways, interacting face‑to‑face and representing the RAC as a proud ambassador of the company’s values.
Responsibilities
* Engage with customers on driveways, providing advice, service, and repairs.
* Perform diagnostics, light vehicle maintenance, and related checks, varying the workday each day.
* Manage stock, complete regular reporting and maintain continuous customer communication.
* Make quick, informed decisions for each customer based on the situation.
Qualifications
* Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
* At least 2 years hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
* A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
Location & Salary
Stevenage, Hertfordshire – Annual salary £40,170.00–£44,385.00, full‑time, 40 hours per week.
