Planning
* Meets statutory national curriculum or EYFS requirements
* Meets policy expectations
* Support team members to use pedagogy which is effective in ensuring progress
* Ensure trips/visitors are organised with clear learning intentions/outcomes
* Risk assessments are completed (can be delegated but must be checked)
* Key curriculum documentation is maintained and available for the website
* Maintaining a view of quality first teaching strategies nationally which can be implemented into HPNS curriculum
* Ensuring high quality adaptive teaching and resources to ensure an inclusive learning environment
Delivery
* Role model in all aspects of classroom practice and within the wider school community including professional conduct/communication
* Budget management for resources across both campuses
* Willingness to coach/mentor team including discussion about monitoring outcomes
Assessment
* Active role in ensuring HPNS assessment system is robust
* Ensuring AfL is prominent in planning and delivery
* Take an active role in analysing progress over short term to impact on progress
* Gap analysis to ensure coverage
* Take the lead on the target setting strategy which informs children and parents of next steps in learning
* Liaise with the Deputy Head Teachers, Co-Headteachers and subject leaders
* Ensure deadlines are met for data collection
* Evaluate use of assessment types
* Maintaining a view of the national picture of assessment
* Familiar with Local and National data sources and how HPNS benchmarks against these
Progress
* Monitor vulnerable groups in the phase; acting on information
* Provide, coordinate and track the impact of interventions in a timely manner
* Analyse termly data to identify that All and Pupil Premium children are making at least expected progress
* Act on outcomes from Pupil Progress MeetingsWork in partnership with key staff to ensure the closing of the gap for vulnerable children
Monitoring
* Monitoring is in line with school and phase priorities and the school monitoring calendar
* Lesson observations (can be joint observations with SLT or English/Maths leaders)
* Book scrutiny focusing on:
o Whole school expectations
o Presentation
o Adherence to feedback policy
o Content and coverage evident in books
o Time to write
o Child responding to feedback
o Assessment trackers in use
o Adaptations
* Environment:
o Adherence to class environment checklist
o Hall/corridor displays
o Ambassador roles being used and celebrated
o LOTC frequency reflecting in environment
* Interventions liaising with SENDCos
* Attendance in partnership with key staff
* Parent attendance at events
Member of Leadership Team
* Fully prepared for all meetings in order to actively participate
* Regular presentations to governors and senior leaders to update them on phase priorities
* Prepared to engage with external scrutiny
* Regular evaluation of the School Development Plan with focus on phase
* Awareness of CPD needs for self or team members and liaising with Deputy Head Teachers and Co-Headteachers regarding this
* Stepping up in absence of SLT from campus
* Running appraisals for members of the Phase team
