As CNC Operator, you will be responsible for the manufacture of machined components, primarily for aerospace, automative and defence industries. Competent ability operating CNC machinery, attention to detail, awareness of quality standards and proficiency with relevant measuring equipment are essential for the role of CNC Operator.
Duties and responsibilities of CNC Operator:
* Prepare and operate CNC machines to carry out tasks
* Understand specifications of task at hand and desired result by reading drawings
* Prepare and load raw materials onto the machines
* Prepare test run to check if machines produce outputs according to specifications
* Set machine to complete full cycles to produce specified part
* Supervise machines and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
* Inspect and measure finished products to check process completed properly
* Check and maintain machine regularly to ensure functionality
* Adhere to safe working practices
Skills and attributes required by successful candidate for the role of CNC Operator:
* Previous experience as CNC Operator within a heavy manufacturing environment (preferably automotive/aerospace)
* Operating experience with CNC machines including milling machining centres, 4 and 5 axis
* Proficiency with measuring equipment
* Willing to learn and progress
* High attention to detail
* Work well within a team and individually
