Streamline Recruitment are working in partnership with a well-established logistics and warehousing business based in Tilbury, who are looking to appoint a Customer Service Coordinator. This is a pivotal role within the operation, acting as the central point of contact between customers, warehouse teams, and transport functions to ensure a seamless end-to-end delivery service.
This opportunity would suit someone with experience in logistics, transport operations, or a fast-paced customer service environment who enjoys problem-solving, clear communication, and keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes.
You will play a key role in managing customer relationships and supporting the daily movement of goods in and out of the warehouse. A large part of the role focuses on keeping customers informed, handling queries efficiently, and ensuring all internal systems are accurately maintained and updated.
Typical duties will include:
* Managing incoming customer queries relating to deliveries, orders, and service updates, ensuring a prompt and professional response at all times.
* Coordinating the booking in of goods and maintaining accurate system entries across all relevant platforms.
* Tracking delivery progress and proactively updating customers on any delays, changes, or issues.
* Working closely with warehouse and transport teams to ensure smooth communication and operational alignment.
* Investigating and resolving customer queries or complaints, escalating where required to ensure timely resolution.
* Maintaining accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and customer information across internal systems.
* Producing and updating reports using Excel to support operational performance tracking and customer visibility.
* Providing general administrative support across logistics and customer service functions.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams and external customers.
About You:
* Previous experience within logistics, transport, warehousing, or a similar customer-focused role
* High attention to detail, particularly when working with data and system updates
* Competent using Microsoft Excel, including basic reporting, filtering, and data entry
* Able to prioritise workload effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment
What’s on Offer:
£28,000–£30,000 salary depending on experience
Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 – no weekend working
21 days holiday + bank holidays
