This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter at any stage of their career - whether you're newly qualified, highly experienced, or simply looking to move into a days-only position.
The Role
70% mechanical / 30% electrical maintenance
Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdowns
Fault finding, strip down, inspection and rebuild of machinery
Electrical fault finding on wiring, motors and control panels
Basic PLC fault diagnosis
Installation, upgrades and commissioning of new equipment
Working with hydraulic systems and lifting equipment
MIG welding and racking repairs
Maintenance of mechanical handling and production equipment
Carrying out condition-based inspections (bearings, drives, alignment)
Identifying and implementing improvements to reliability and performance
About You
We're keen to hear from candidates with a solid engineering foundation and a proactive approach:
NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (or time-served equivalent)
Strong mechanical / electro-mechanical fitting experience
Confident fault finding on hydraulics, motors and control panels
Basic knowledge of control systems and sensors
Comfortable with physical work and occasional working at height
Safety-conscious with a continuous improvement mindsetThis role would suit:
