Location: Yeovil Duration: 12 month initial contract Rate: £19.10ph PAYE (Inside IR35) Role details: Our client, a prominent player in the Defence & Security and Aerospace sectors, is currently seeking a Production Controller to join their team in Yeovil on a 12-month contract. Key Responsibilities: Launching production orders as required by the master production plan Splitting production orders and ensuring all data is correctly transferred Closing rework and labour-only production orders, ensuring all operations are correctly clocked Generating statistics and reports for the manufacturing shop regarding Work in Progress (WIP) Updating production order statuses and comments where applicable Running shortage reviews with other departments to prioritise parts and review forecasts Ensuring Bill of Materials (BOM) in the production order is accurate Loading all outgoing work on the offload rail and prioritising tasks accordingly Supporting offload operations and resolving issues, including paperwork amendments Job Requirements: Strong experience in production management within the Defence & Security or Aerospace sectors Sound educational background with demonstrated competency through work experience Experience working with SAP within material management and production planning modules Excellent computer literacy, especially with the use of Excel Understanding of manufacturing processes and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) Knowledge of company quality systems Integrity and a professional approach A team worker who is customer-focused Strong communication skills Benefits: Competitive contract terms Opportunity to work within a leading industry sector Exposure to cutting-edge aerospace and defence projects Professional development opportunities If you are an experienced Production Controller looking to further your career in the Defence & Security and Aerospace sectors, we would love to hear from you.
