Bluebird Care – Where you change lives. We’re the leading Home Care provider and we’re looking for a caring and dedicated Care Assistant to join our Care Team and help us set the standard. This role supports customers in their own homes, assisting with daily living activities and delivering high-quality care.
Role: Female Care Assistant
Location: Reading & Wokingham
Contract type: Care Delivery
Salary details: £13.50 - £20.25 per hour; £13.75 p/h on weekdays (probation £13.50 p/h); £14.75 p/h on weekends (probation £14.50 p/h); £20.63 p/h on bank holidays (probation £20.25 p/h).
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs
* Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)
* Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition
* Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal
* Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning
* Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for

Requirements
* A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* A right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship or visa transfer
* A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care
* Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
* Ability to follow care plans
* Previous healthcare assistant experience is beneficial but not a necessity as full training will be provided
