Transport planner day 2

We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to work for a leading transport and distribution organization based in Wigan (WN4). Monday to Friday 10am-7pm. Salary band £26,000-£32,000. 31 days holidays to start with and other great benefits on offer.

* Responsible for the execution of Day 2 transport planning.
* Planning customer deliveries and collections with various sizes of vehicles from Class 1 to multidrop vans.
* Vehicle planning, creation of manifests, briefing and coordinating drivers.
* Same day/Next Day/Freight cargoes.
* Coordinate and provide support and information in the running of safe and efficient operation.
* Working with clear guidelines to help achieve the operational standards and defined outcomes.
* Able to utilize every opportunity i.e. reload
* Liaising with customer services department regards live issues. Troubleshooting.
* Daily reporting to Management.
