 
        
        Procurement Subcontracts Manager – Thales Alenia Space, Harwell, United Kingdom
Thales Alenia Space is a joint venture that designs and manufactures high‑tech solutions for the aerospace and space industry. We deliver products and services that challenge performance, quality, and delivery timelines, accounting for about 50 % of our turnover. In this role you will partner with suppliers after contract award to ensure on‑time, on‑scope deliveries and to manage operational performance.
Responsibilities
 * Ensure smooth transition and enforce contract clauses during hand‑over.
 * Lead the ongoing relationship with suppliers, covering technical, industrial, planning, quality, and contractual matters.
 * Manage internal and external activities according to the Statement of Work / Statement of Agreement and the Surveillance Plan.
 * Monitor contract execution, minimize delays, and reduce non‑quality costs; proactively detect and mitigate risks.
 * Track supplier progress, challenge delays, and maintain high portfolio performance.
 * Coordinate all contract reviews (KO, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, TRB, DRB, etc.) and ensure compliance.
 * Authorize delivery of goods and corresponding invoices, and approve related documentation.
 * Organise material acceptance milestones and manage delegation of authority while remaining accountable.
 * Apply the veto process when deliveries are non‑compliant; manage risk of integration or test damage.
 * Review and resolve supplier actions, deviations (RFD, RFW), and change notices.
 * Manage sales forecasts for supplier milestones.
 * Perform supplier performance assessment, lessons learned, and evaluate liquidated damages.
 * Keep you updated on security and baseline vetting requirements per UK law.

 * Supplier / Product Surveillance Plan.
 * Risk and opportunity assessment and analysis.
 * Handover package and minutes (SOW/SOA, SoC, unit requirement specifications, contract).
 * Collaboration with Procurement, Engineering, and Quality per project portfolio.
Deliveries / Events from Work Package Execution
 * Meeting minutes, EQSR forms, and documentation for each review stage.
 * Monthly supplier reports and weekly progress status, including escalation when needed.
 * Risk register and mitigation actions.
 * Veto check list for product delivery issues.
 * Assessment report at contract completion.
