About The Candidate

We're looking for a Front of House Administrator who embodies our values through their everyday actions. About The Role

This Front of House Administrator role is central to ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of our campus, providing an exceptional first point of contact for students, staff, employers and visitors. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment where no two days are the same, and where high‑quality customer service really makes a difference.

You'll gain experience working across multiple college systems (including ProAchieve, ProSolution and ProMonitor), and you'll develop strong administrative, organisational and communication skills through close collaboration with curriculum teams, Student Services, Registry & Data, and other professional departments. The role also provides opportunities to get involved in key college events, exposure to a wide range of operational processes, and career development within a large and supportive Student Services team.

Role Responsibilities

Act as the first point of contact for enquiries and provide a high‑quality customer experience to students, staff, employers and visitors.
Deliver a range of administrative support activities for curriculum teams and Student Services, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and compliance with college procedures.
Support the monitoring of student attendance, progress reviews and data‑related processes to ensure timely and accurate information is maintained.
Assist with organising and supporting meetings and front‑of‑house activities, including UCAS administration.
Maintain efficient administrative systems, records and filing in line with GDPR and college policy.
Handle incoming calls, reception duties and general administrative tasks such as mail handling, purchasing support, and printing/photocopying services.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 in Customer Service or Business Administration, or willingness to work towards it.
Literacy and numeracy at Level 2 or above.

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous experience working in a similar administrative or customer‑facing role.
Proven ability to provide high‑quality administrative support and meet deadlines.
Competent in using the full Microsoft Office suite.
Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to analyse information, solve problems and provide timely, accurate data.
Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with staff, students, employers and external agencies.
Ability to work professionally, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive situations with empathy.
Strong time‑management skills, able to multitask and work under pressure.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities.
Commitment to safeguarding, equality and diversity, British Values, and health & safety requirements.

Desirable Skills & Experience – (Optional)

Experience working in a post‑16 college or university environment.
Ability to drive and access to a vehicle.
Experience using ProAchieve, ProSolution or ProMonitor (if applicable to your internal expectations, though not explicitly listed as essential).
Willingness and ability to travel between sites as required.
