Job summary

We are presenting the opportunity to join a team of dedicated professionals who enjoy working collectively in a supportive, enthusiastic and caring department. The Oral Maxillofacial Surgery team provide services across Worcestershire at three of our hospital sites including Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Alexandra Hospital, Redditch and Kidderminster Treatment Centre. Working with our partners in Herefordshire via the local Integrated Care Board allows us to deliver care to patients across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.


Main duties of the job

We are looking to complement existing colleagues activity with a full time post with a specialist interest in skin cancer.

A formal job plan will be agreed between the post-holder and their Clinical Director and Divisional Director, on behalf of the Chief Medical Officer, three months after the start date of the post. The job plan for the first three months will be based on the provisional timetable shown below. Additional clinical sessions may be available to support the teams objectives with the agreement of the post holder.

This job description, together with the job plan, will be reviewed annually and agreed with the Clinical Director and Divisional Director, on behalf of the Chief Medical Officer, to ensure that it continually reflects the areas of work, clinical responsibility of the post and purchaser requirements.

A suitably experienced post-holder will be expected to provide a clinical service in the relevant specialty to patients of the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and to General Practitioners.

The post-holder will be expected to provide a service to patients of the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, General Practitioners and to attend multidisciplinary meetings. The successful candidate will be expected to work within multidisciplinary teams in providing high quality clinical care.
