Job overview
We are seeking Band 6 Midwives to provide high‑quality, evidence‑based care to birthing families in the maternity services at John Radcliffe Hospital.
Main duties
* Deliver antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care to low‑ and high‑risk women, ensuring safety and positive outcomes.
* Provide midwifery care in the Delivery Suite, Maternity Theatres and Maternity Recovery Ward, with 50 % night shift coverage.
* Collaborate with specialist teams including Fetal and Maternal Medicine, Breech Team and Maternity Bereavement Team.
* Support and mentor junior staff, contribute to practice development and quality improvement initiatives.
* Adhere to the World Health Organisation and NMC Midwives Rules and Code of Practice.
Qualifications
* Registered Midwife with current UK Registration and working in the UK as a Band 6 or above.
* NIPE trained.
