Overview We are recruiting on behalf of a highly sought after London College, seeking a dedicated and passionate online Lecturer to expand the staffing team. The Senior Management team of this College hold a selection of awards and postgraduate qualifications, to uphold the College’s level of academic offering. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, fostering an engaging learning environment, and contributing to the academic development of students, ranging from Functional Skills to Level 7 Qualifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong communication skills and a commitment to educational excellence. The position is paid and remote with some attendance to the college and is suitable for those eager to make a positive impact within our institution. Duties · Planning and delivering online lessons using a virtual learning environment · Observing Academic integrity for exams (Invigilating) · Delivering practical and theory sessions on site at the college as required · Assessing student work in line with awarding body requirements · Supporting learners with academic progress, practical skills and employability · Maintaining accurate learner records and meeting quality assurance standards · Working collaboratively with curriculum and quality teams Applicants must hold or be working towards the following: Teaching Qualifications · Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DET) or equivalent · PGCE, CertEd or equivalent teaching qualification suitable for FE · Level 3 Award in Education and Training for Online Delivery · PTTLS, CTTLS, Subject Qualifications they wish to teach, but preferably persons with such as: · Level 3 or above qualification in Food Safety, Catering, Professional Cookery, Food Technology or Hospitality such as: · NVQ Level 3 in Food Preparation and Cooking · Level 3 Food Technology or Hospitality qualification · Or equivalent industry recognised qualification Experience and Skills · Experience teaching or training learners · Strong knowledge of professional subject · Confidence delivering engaging online lessons · Ability to communicate and present with confidence, clarity and purpose · Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm · Ability to support learners in both academic and practical environments · A passion for developing future professionals in the catering industry This is not just a teaching role.
