Overview
We are looking for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our established team working within mainstream schools in Central Bedfordshire and Luton as part of a fixed‑term post until the end of December 2027.
Requirements
* Confident, motivated, and enthusiastic.
* Experience working with children with a wide range of Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).
* Willingness to develop clinical knowledge and skills.
Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload and provide targeted, evidence‑based assessment and therapy.
* Work closely with colleagues in health and education.
* Participate in training parents and professionals around SLC needs.
* Support junior staff within the service.
* Provide specialist clinical input to children in mainstream schools and pre‑school complex needs teams.
* Deliver speech and language therapy to children with a wide range of SLCN, including statutory provision.
* Deliver training to enable parents and professionals to support children’s language and communication needs.
