An established and respected structural steelwork contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Radcliffe. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a company delivering high-profile steel structures across a wide range of sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare, submit, and manage interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
* Monitor project budgets and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
* Procure subcontractors, prepare tender documentation, and manage agreements.
* Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify completed works.
* Prepare and present cost reports, forecasts, and commercial advice to the project team.
* Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders including clients, engineers, and subcontractors.
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience in quantity surveying within the structural steelwork industry is essential.
* Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes.
* Excellent knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
* Ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is preferred.
* Full UK driving licence required.
