Fitness Ambassador – University of Southampton Malaysia
Welcome to our newly developed sports facilities. The University has invested over £40 million in campus sports infrastructure, opening the Jubilee Sport and Recreation Centre in summer 2024. The centre features three brand‑new squash courts, a state‑of‑the‑art TechnoGym fitness suite, five indoor studios and a new climbing provision.

Role
As a Fitness Ambassador you will deliver high‑quality health and fitness services, including:
* Leading group fitness classes (e.g., Hyrox, indoor cycling)
* Providing personal training sessions
* Conducting gym inductions and personalised programmes
* Supporting the daily operation of our fitness facilities in line with accredited safety standards
You will work closely with the Fitness Supervisor and Fitness Class Coordinator to deliver engaging fitness initiatives that inspire our community.
What We Are Looking For
* Level 3 Personal Training qualification
* Experience in the fitness and leisure industry
* Proven ability to deliver group fitness classes, personal training and customer engagement
* A strong commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion – creating welcoming fitness spaces for disabled, Living Black, women, and LGBTQIA+ communities
* A First Aid qualification (essential, can be discussed during the interview)
Working Pattern
You will be required to work a mix of early and late shifts, including weekends, across our Jubilee Sport and Recreation Centre and Mayflower Gym, supporting our 7‑day service. An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
