SEND Teacher Hull Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity Competitive rates – Depending on experience GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher to work within a specialist provision supporting students with additional learning, social, emotional, and behavioural needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher who is committed to inclusive education and making a real difference in young people’s lives. About the Role As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students. You will work with learners who may have ASC, SEMH, MLD, communication difficulties, or other complex learning profiles. The successful candidate will help create a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment where students feel safe, supported, and motivated to engage in education. You will be expected to build strong professional relationships with students, manage behaviour consistently and fairly, and work closely with support staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to ensure holistic student development. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons across relevant subjects Support students with SEND to access the curriculum effectively Implement behaviour strategies in line with individual education plans Track and monitor academic, social, and emotional progress Promote positive engagement, confidence, and independence Work collaboratively with wider school and pastoral teams The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification Experience working with children or young people with SEND Strong classroom and behaviour management skills A patient, calm, and resilient approach Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning needs A genuine passion for inclusive education Experience within specialist schools, Alternative Provision, or settings supporting SEMH or ASC learners is highly desirable.
