Aspire People are proud to be working with a fantastic secondary school in Manchester, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Physical Education to join their outstanding team. This is a full-time, permanent role, starting in January 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and innovative PE lessons that inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
- Teach a range of PE courses across Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Manage and maintain high standards of behaviour in and around the school, promoting a positive and respectful environment.
- Support students in achieving their full potential, both academically and personally.
- Contribute to the extra-curricular programme, helping to develop students' physical and social skills outside of the classroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance student outcomes and support whole-school initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- A strong knowledge of the national curriculum and a passion for delivering high-quality PE lessons.
- A creative and innovative approach to teaching and learning.
- The ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- A team player who is committed to raising standards and supporting the school's values and ethos.
- Experience in coaching or leading extra-curricular sports activities would be advantageous.
