Location: HMP Lewes, 1 Brighton Rd, Lewes, BN7 1EA
Salary: £25,566.00 per annum
Contract: Full time, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, fixed term

What We're Looking For
* GCSEs or equivalent at grades A to C or 9 to 4 in English and Maths
* Demonstration of practical work or mechanical aptitude
* Skilled in the Microsoft Office suite of applications
* Good organisational skills
This apprenticeship offers an excellent route into mechanical engineering, combining structured learning with valuable hands‑on experience in a live operational environment. You will work closely with skilled engineers, supporting the maintenance and repair of critical mechanical, plumbing and heating systems that keep sites safe and operational. Through on‑the‑job learning, mentoring and formal training, you will build specialist knowledge, practical skills, and recognised qualifications.
