Housing Disrepair Lawyer – 6‑Month Temporary Contract
Our client, a local authority based in Essex, is recruiting a Housing Disrepair Lawyer on a 6‑month temporary contract. The role starts immediately on a full‑time basis. The hourly rate is c.55 UMB and can be negotiable based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Deal with a high number of complex caseloads, including sensitive legal cases made up of contentious and non‑contentious matters.
* Manage predominantly disrepair matters, working closely alongside the second member of the team.
* Provide legal representation for the organisation and act as a professional legal advocate in courts and tribunals.
* Prepare legal documentation including particulars of claim, schedules of disrepair, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
* Advise clients on their legal rights under housing legislation and tenancy agreements.
Required Skills and Experience
* Experience within the housing sector.
