This is a wonderful opportunity for an Upper Key Stage 2 teacher who is passionate about helping pupils develop the skills, independence, and confidence they need as they progress toward Year 6. As a Year 5 teacher, you will deliver high-quality teaching across the curriculum, creating engaging and challenging lessons that motivate pupils and foster a love of learning. You will establish a structured, calm, and positive classroom environment where pupils feel safe, valued, and encouraged to achieve their best. Assessment will play a vital role in your teaching. You will track progress carefully, identify gaps in learning, and plan targeted interventions to ensure pupils continue to make strong progress. Differentiation and inclusion will be central to your approach, particularly when supporting pupils with SEND, EAL, or additional learning needs. You will work closely with colleagues across Upper Key Stage 2 to ensure continuity and progression, sharing good practice and contributing to curriculum development. Teaching assistants, the SEN team, and senior leaders will support you in ensuring every pupil receives the help they need to succeed. Building positive relationships with parents and carers is highly valued. You will communicate openly and positively, celebrating achievements and working collaboratively to support pupils’ academic and emotional development.
