A client of ours in the Braintree area are recruiting a Project Accountant to join their team. This is a 12 - 18 month contract position working Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm (40 hours) and paying up to £30,500 per annum depending on experience. This is a specialised role within the finance team, responsible for overseeing and managing financial activities related to specific division and projects, initiatives or unique financial tasks. Key Duties include but are not limited to: Monthly reconciliation of retention & application debtors ledgers. Collate and monitor CVR costs; prepare reports for management and directors. Review data from timesheets and CRM to track engineer performance. Create monthly P&L Prepare monthly steel price review. Prepare technical timesheet reports. Review external engineering costs and report to directors. Maintain monthly energy utility tracker for Health & Safety department. Monitor client credit status and flag risks. Support the division with applications, debtors reports, WIP, and final account reviews. Assist auditors and produce ad-hoc reports as required. Carry out other relevant duties as needed. Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Project Accountant position: Previous accountancy experience within a similar role Strong analytical skills Accountancy qualified or working towards Ability to work within a team Experience within the engineering or manufacturing industry desirable.
