Quantum Scholars are working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Wokingham, who are looking for an experienced Chemistry Tutor to deliver 1:1, in-person tuition for a secondary-aged pupil in Wokingham.
This role involves supporting a student currently outside of mainstream education, often due to additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH, behavioural challenges, or medical needs.
About the role:
* Provide 1:1 Chemistry tuition to a secondary-aged pupil
* Support a student in alternative provision or EOTAS
* Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the pupil's individual learning needs
* Sessions typically take place in the pupil's home or a suitable community setting
* 1 hour per week, starting after Easter and running until the end of the academic year
* Flexible, part-time hours during school hours

Requirements:
* QTS preferred but not essential
* Experience supporting pupils with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, or SEMH
* Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach
* Full Right to Work in the UK
* Ability to travel within Wokingham
