Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Salary: GBP30,000
Schedule: Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00 (potential early finish Fridays)
Contract: Temp to Perm after probation period
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and coordinate our daily warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the warehouse. You will lead your team to meet and exceed daily performance expectations, achieving operational goals within set timeframes while maintaining high levels of accuracy and safety.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
* Implement and maintain production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
* Ensure timely and accurate processing of orders and inventory management.
* Monitor workflow and adjust staff schedules to meet daily operational targets.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
* Train, guide, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance and efficiency goals.
* Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
* Collaborate with management to implement process improvements and optimize operational efficiency.
* Generate and analyze reports on productivity, inventory accuracy, and overall performance.
* Resolve any issues related to shipments, inventory discrepancies, or operational delays.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
* Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management.
* Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
* Physical ability to perform warehouse tasks when required.
Preferred Qualifications
* Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment.
* Knowledge of safety and compliance standards in a warehouse setting.
* Experience with lean warehouse practices or continuous improvement initiatives.
