Salary: £27,200 – £34,000 (dependent on experience) + annual bonus & benefits
Outsource UK are recruiting for Claims Handlers to join a busy Customer Settlements and Third Party Settlement Team in Newcastle. This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to develop your career in a supportive environment.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll proactively manage and settle a portfolio of claims efficiently and effectively, ensuring high-quality service to customers and stakeholders. You’ll investigate claims, negotiate settlements, and manage your caseload while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Handle and settle claims in line with policy cover and legal liability
2. Manage customer queries, complaints, and complex cases
3. Investigate claims where necessary, ensuring fair and accurate settlements
4. Negotiate with stakeholders and suppliers to control costs and achieve positive outcomes
5. Identify and report potential fraud
6. Maintain accurate records of reserves, recoveries, and file status
What We’re Looking For:
7. Experience as a Claims Handler within Insurance (preferably car)
8. Experience with vehicle and property damage claims, liability, and credit hire
9. Strong investigation and negotiation skills
10. Ability to manage a caseload independently, prioritising effectively
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
12. Empathy and professionalism when dealing with sensitive situations
13. Proficiency in IT systems and computer literacy
