Overview
The National Accounts department is split into sectors, concentrating on specific market arenas. The focus category and new business team support the sector teams in the growth of wines/beers & spirit sales, fresh meat, non-food and new customers.
Reporting to, and supported by the Business Development Controller for categories, the successful applicant will be responsible for converting new national business for Unity and managing a portfolio of existing customers.

Responsibilities
* Convert new national business for Unity and manage a portfolio of existing customers.
Qualifications
* Proven key account manager with excellent track record of client management, ideally with demonstrable working knowledge of the workplace catering marketplace
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook
* Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills
* Have excellent presentation and communication skills and be able to communicate at all levels, both within the Company and the customer at head office level
* Decisive, assertive and persuasive in your communications internally and externally
* Knowledgeable and confident demonstrating category partnership expertise in Wines, Beers and Spirits
* Able to construct and deliver Joint Business Plans, including marketing and training plans, which deliver incremental profit objectives for our customer
* A proficient networker both internally and externally.
You will be innovative and demonstrate originality and creativity in solving problems and meeting the needs of the client and the sector. You will have the ability to develop and communicate sound commercial arguments, and have a thorough understanding of the cost drivers and their impact on both the Company and the specific client’s needs.
You will be passionate about wine and an enthusiastic professional helping customers develop their alcoholic drinks offering.
A full driving licence is a prerequisite as there will be a requirement for travel throughout the country at different times, plus overnight accommodation as and when required.
