Downlands Community School lies at the heart of Blandford Camp, enjoying an extremely safe and friendly environment for the children and extensive grounds for sports and playtime. Downlands Community School is an all-through Primary, taking children from three years old as part of our preschool. We require a passionate, highly skilled and empathetic professional to join our friendly and hard-working team on a job share working 3 days a week for a fixed term from November 2025 to the end of the academic school year. Applications are particularly welcome from those professionals with recent experience of teaching KS1 classes, either in previous school roles or training settings.

Our school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
