Cluster Residential Child Care Worker role at Pebbles Care
We’re looking for a dedicated and resilient professional to take on a cluster role, supporting a small group of residential child care homes. The role involves varied shift patterns, including holiday and training cover, and offers the chance to develop across diverse teams.
Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
* Daily home life tasks such as driving children to and from school, appointments and visits (a full UK manual driving licence is essential).
* Teaching valuable life skills – meal preparation, household chores, and engaging activities.
* Providing one-to-one or two-to-one support tailored to each young person’s needs.
* Working full‑time (average 56.4 hours per week including sleep hours) on a rota pattern of one day on (24 hours, including sleepover) and two days off.
* Participating in induction, shadow shifts, and ongoing learning to master the Pebbles Way therapeutic care model.
Training & Career Development
Our comprehensive induction includes:
* Three days of training and shadow shifts.
* Full access to the Learning and Development team.
* Funding for a Level 3 SVQ/NVQ qualification in Residential Child Care.
* Career review after induction, training and minimum qualifications.

* A starting salary of £34,719.00 to £36,248.00 per annum, pro rata, based on experience.

Desirable Qualities
* Up to 12 months of relevant experience.
* Experience or ambition to obtain SCQF Level 7 or Level 3 Diploma.
* Familiarity with regulatory codes of practice.
* Existing PVG/DBS certificate.
