About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Responsibilities
* Plan and implement activities that will delight our Residents.
* Help the Home Manager to organise essential fundraising events.
* Foster resident confidence to socialise and participate; collaborate with the care home team on new activity ideas based on Residents’ hobbies.
* Communicate with Residents and co-workers with kindness and consideration.
* Safeguarding awareness: recognise signs of potential abuse or neglect and know how to respond; attend safeguarding training and undertake additional training as required.
Qualifications & Skills
* Background working with vulnerable individuals; experience in developing activity programmes is desirable.
* Bright, positive energy with the ability to get along with people; strong planning, organisational and IT skills; effective time management.
* Ability to communicate with Residents and colleagues in a considerate and kind manner.
* Ability to recognise safeguarding concerns and escalate appropriately.
