Catering Unit Supervisor

Salary: £26, -£28, (pro-rata for part-time)
Hours: 32 per week, 52 weeks
Lagganlia is looking for a Catering Supervisor. 32 hours per week.
To supervise, organise and directly participate in the provision of a cafeteria/traditional meal and hospitality catering service to schools. This will encompass direct control over staff management, production, stock control and the maintenance of the Quality System documentation and practices on a daily basis over a Catering Unit.
Major Tasks:
1. Food preparation and cooking of meals for functions for children and adults.
2. Food service and customer care
3. Ensuring high standards of hygiene which comply with Health and Safety regulations and food safety legislation.
4. Supervision of employees working in the kitchen at Lagganlia.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
