Are you ready to make a real difference in the world of motor claims and engineering? At Gallagher Bassett, were looking for a Level 1 Engineer to join our team in the UK. In this role, youll have the opportunity to work with a collaborative team, develop your skills, and contribute to creating tailored solutions for our clients. How you'll make an impact
As a Level 1 Engineer, youll play a key role in ensuring our clients and customers receive the best possible service. Youll authorise repair estimates, review invoices, and provide regular updates to drivers and policyholders. Your day-to-day will involve working closely with field engineering companies, managing vehicle salvage instructions, and processing total loss vehicles for settlement.
Youll also have the chance to mentor and guide other team members, sharing your expertise and helping them grow. With your strong planning skills and technical knowledge, youll ensure that every task is completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
Additional responsibilities include:
Managing the engineering mailbox and responding to initial telephone enquiries.
Issuing standard correspondence and supporting the processing of engineers' reports.
Staying informed about new technologies and industry trends to enhance your work.
About You
Were looking for someone with a strong background in bodywork or mechanical disciplines, ideally with knowledge of current estimating systems and modern motor vehicle repair methods. While qualifications like ATA, IAEA, or IMI are a plus, theyre not essential.
Youll need to be self-motivated, flexible, and dedicated, with excellent planning and prioritisation skills. Proficiency in computer applications and a commitment to meeting deadlines are also important.
