About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our nursing and residential care home. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader with a clinical background to deliver exceptional care, ensure regulatory compliance, and create a nurturing, resident-focused environment.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified nurse with a valid NMC PIN, have experience managing within a nursing or residential care setting, and possess strong leadership and organisational skills. You will be responsible for driving quality, leading your team, and ensuring that residents—particularly those with dementia and Alzheimer’s—receive the highest standards of personalised care.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the home and oversee all clinical and operational functions to ensure high-quality, person-centred care.

Develop, implement, and regularly review individualised care plans, ensuring they meet residents’ medical, emotional, and social needs.

Supervise and support staff teams, providing regular training, mentoring, and performance management.

Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, health and safety legislation, and internal policies.

Monitor and uphold standards in medication administration, safeguarding, and infection control.
*
Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
*
Maintain accurate documentation, including resident care records, audits, staff performance, and compliance reports.

Promote a warm, inclusive community that encourages resident engagement and wellbeing.
Requirements:
Essential:
*
Registered Nurse with Active NMC PIN (RGN, RMN, or RNLD)
*
Proven experience in managing an assisted living, nursing, or residential care home
*
Strong understanding of nursing best practices, particularly in caring for individuals with dementia or cognitive impairments
*
Demonstrated leadership and management experience in a healthcare setting
*
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with staff, residents, and families
*
Solid understanding of medication protocols, care planning, and compliance standards
Desirable:

Knowledge of relevant care planning and digital record systems
*
Experience leading a home through successful CQC inspections
*
Additional qualifications in management or dementia care
