About the Role
As a Supervisor, you will coordinate and manage a variety of works including:
1. Minor new works, reactive and remedial tasks
2. Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
3. Supply chain and contractor management
4. Compliance and certification reviews
You will be responsible for ensuring work schedules are prioritised and delivered to meet contractual KPIs. The role includes reviewing risk assessments and method statements for high-risk activities, overseeing report writing, and ensuring all works are completed to a high standard.
With appropriate qualifications and training, you will also take on the role of Asbestos Responsible Person, supporting safe management and compliance across the site.
Key Responsibilities
5. Manage and deliver small works and maintenance projects
6. Review and approve RAMS and compliance documentation
7. Support planned maintenance through reporting and remedial works
8. Ensure contractor compliance with JSP and site regulations
9. Liaise with the Helpdesk, DIO, and end users to resolve issues
10. Maintain strong working knowledge of systems such as MAXIMO and Coupa
11. Attend training and meetings to stay current with contract changes
12. Support business continuity and respond to audits
Person Specification
Essential Skills & Experience:
13. Experience in construction, building, or facilities management
14. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
15. Excellent communication and customer service skills
16. Ability to manage workload independently and within a team
17. Professional and adaptable approach to change
18. NVQ Level qualification in a relevant trade, building, civil engineering, or related discipline
19. Management-level qualification in Health & Safety and Environment (e.g., SMSTS)
20. Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
21. Experience on MOD or military estates
22. Knowledge of airfield pavement inspections
23. Experience or qualification as an Asbestos Responsible Person (training can be provided)
24. Asbestos and PAT Testing certifications.
