Responsibilities
* Champions incident‑free operation.
* Ensures all safe work practices are followed (LOTO, Confined Space Entry, Hot work, etc.) and conducts routine audits.
* Leads all tailgates and monthly safety meetings.
* Investigates all incident reports and takes action to prevent recurrence.
* Stewards scope input/justification.
* Develops and communicates FEL plans (Contracting, Communication, Permits and critical lifts, Facility Plans, etc.).
* Adheres to the IMPACT process, including milestones, KPI ratability, and scope creep.
* Works with Capital Projects PMs to determine who will manage pre‑TA and TA work.
* Selects and manages contractors to ensure tools, materials, labor resources, and equipment are available for maintenance work.
* Coordinates support from internal resources to facilitate turnaround work (Pass Control, Security, Shops, Operations, Technical, etc.)
* Selects and manages company resources to oversee turnaround work.
* Establishes clear work direction to mechanics to optimize work efforts.
* Administers personnel policies consistently within established guidelines.
* Effectively coaches, trains, and leads mechanics to achieve high‑performance standards.
* Facilitates weekly and daily meetings to coordinate team activities.
* Documents all lessons learned from all phases of turnaround planning.
* Adopts digital tools as rolled out and provides feedback to product owners.
* Develops budgets and monitors costs to meet objectives.
* This is a safety‑sensitive position.
Special Considerations
This role is not eligible for expatriate assignment. Global Offshore Payroll applicants must be able to use current US work authorization or otherwise be able to obtain work authorization within 4 months of initiation of immigration activities. Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position is $133,600 - $230,900. This position is located at Chevron's Richmond Refinery, in the San Francisco Bay Area.
